Isn't that the fun. I had a thousand names for Pumpkin but Pumpkin wasn't on my list. When I saw her she was automatically named Pumpkin.

Yeah- when I got Kirby I had a big list of potential names, but when I look back and read through my choices none of them seem to fit a single bit! I think it's hard choosing a name before getting the bird. Good luck on finding a luvy and getting it a name! I don't have any names, but I think it'd be neat and in remembrance of Hamlit if you named it something from Shakespeare like Mrs. Birdy and birdygirl said. Of course, you don't have to. When you see the bird, you'll know what fits the best!

You should get the bird and see what the personality is like. Our green cheek is usually very sweet, however he is capable of being quite nasty. Most of the time he gets angry when he demands a nut and we tell him no because he has had too many already. Sometimes I feel that a more appropriate name would have been "The Hulk", because he puffs himself up and marches to his intended target.

Heh-heh, Kirby can be like that at times too! Whenever he's mad (usually at Mortie) he'll puff up his feathers and start this little "scolding" chirping sound! It's so funny, I always laugh. :p

One of my budgies, Razzle (male) is the leader of the pack. He goes around to the other 3 budgies and reprimands them....(at least it seems like that to me).
He goes nose to nose with each one and bobs his head rapidly while chirping loudly. The others just stand there frozen until his little tirade is over.
It's so funny, I wish you can witness it.
:D

aw your birds are all so wonderful I can't wait to tell you about the funny and sweet things my love bird does
I think you should choose the name on your own. The name inficts the feelings of the owner. If I get a Conure, I'll name it Meisher (pronounce: Meesher)

Thats funny....we almost named Snickers, skittle, and also thought of Starburst.
Then we decided on our favorite candy bar, "Snickers".
I love naming birds.

I like naming because it gives me something to do while I wait for my baby if I don't have anything else to do I will fill the cage with toys so that there is no room for the bird and it drives my dad crazy LOL
