My parents just got a new Pomeranian puppy a month ago, and all was fine until about a week ago.

The dog since they got it was a little on the small size (was the runt of the littler), but was all ways active running jumping playing fun little dog. She has received all of her shots and was going to go in and get fixed next Thursday. However starting over this past weekend she has been having problems walking. Her back legs don’t seem to be in rhythm with the fronts, causing her to fall down only after a couple of steps. The problem has been getting worse and worse. But she doesn’t cry or whimper, and don’t seem to be in any pain. My parents brought her to the vet and had blood work done and every thing has come back negative. They suggested bringing her to a neurologist.

Any one have this problem with a dog before.

Thanks.

I myself would have to pursue it that way if it isn't an injury or defect the vet can find.

It might be an injury or even something genetic.

Let us know.

I'm really not sure but am wondering..does this problem with the legs happen constantly....like nonstop....or does this happen off and on?
I ask this because my dog, when she was little, would be walking about w/ no problem, then suddenly her little legs would collapse underneath of her, and she'd have a horrible time trying to walk.
What it turned out to be was that she was having an epileptic seizure. I'm curious to know what you find out here, so don't forget to update us, ok?
