Hi everyone,
I adopted a stray cat from the back of my building. Her name is Baby. I took her to the vet on Monday to see if everything was ok cause I thought she was sick. She's been sleeping so much. Well I found out shes pregnant!. I actually can see how shes filling out. Last wed. she was so much thinner. She was starving! I'm so excited!! Also sceared. I'm praying everything goes well. This is my first time. I've been wanting a cat for a while now. I honestly think I took so long to get one cause my baby was meant for me. I absoultley love her. I just wanted to share my joy with other cat lovers like myself. I was also hoping to get any advice I possibly can from anyone with experience with my situation. Thank you guys so much!!:D

They do need our love...I found out today that my cat belonged to someone in my building & they just threw her out. Like she was trash. I wonder if they knew she was pregnant & didnt want to deal with it. My super told me this. He also told me she threw another one out. Im angry about this. I think im gonna call the a.s.p.c.a. on her. To me thats animal cruelty. I wanna go down there & smack her....lol....But you know if she never threw my Baby out. I would never have gotten this change to take her in and care for her. So god blessed me for sure.

Yes, but if she was never thrown out, she wouldn't have had to deal with the hardships of being in the back of a building alone and pregnant.
I say call them. Who does she think she is?
Either way, congratulations on your cat, and your kittens to be. :)

Ive been adopting strays all my adult life, it gets addictive! The only problem mama cats tend to have giving birth is that they prefer dresser drawers full of clothes over boxes and baskets almost every time! Just be careful who you give the babies away to or they will wind up dumped too. If you can, get her spayed after they're weaned. A plant I worked at had a feral female who gave birth to 6 kittens 4 times a year before I could catch her between litters and get her spayed! Not only is it hard to find suitable homes for 2 dozen kittens, it's rough on the Mama too.

Congrats on rescuing your new Baby! I think this person who kicks out the cats after they are no longer kittens should be reported also.
Nanamouse had some great advice there on getting her spayed after the babies arrive and are old enough to eat on their own. I have gone thru similar experiences here at our office of trying to catch the mama cat in between litters so I understand exactly!
Best of luck and remember we need pictures of the new babies and of Baby of course!
