Judy,
You'll get a laugh from this one --- my first thought when I saw your macaw was -- she'll never have to worry about that one plucking! (LOL) Beautiful bird!

All Buddy's "Ah-Oh"-ing wasn't for nothing...it got him an avatar! lol He's so cute there. I don't know of any other type of parrot that has that color of peach. And the pic of you (that's you, right?) with the new macaw is so funny! Definitely much lower maintenance. ;)

Yes....that is me...lol...Hubby got great joy out of that Macaw...lol.
I probably should show you the picture when I first opened it...I was laughing so hard I could not see!!!! It was the hit of the party. The grandkids thought it was way too cool for Grandma.
Buddy is a very beautifull bird. That peach color is so vibrant. The green in places is dark neon. Quite a guy!

Hey Judy~Jan did my avatar too! Diane's next! I love the Macaw. Your hubby sounds like he has a great sense of humor. Did you give him a name?

Hmmmm too crazy....I hadn't thought of naming my "birdie" Guess I should huh? Terry (hubby) fixed him for me sitting on a stand that is made for hanging small cages. He used clear fishing line and you can hardly see the line......lol
Yes...Terry is one of those people that wakes up every morning whistling and smiling....in contrast to me...don't look or talk to me before at least 2 cups of coffee...lol...makes for interesting conversations sometimes..

Great names Teri.... here's Cherokee's buddy.... we got it a few years ago for hubby's birthday LOL. It has a recorder in it so you can actually make it talk. Hubby recorded a little message to Cherokee... we just call it "Buddy Bob" hehe . Thats pretty neat how hubby put it on a stand Judy!. We had Buddy Bob in a vacant cage for awhile, people had to look twice at it.. they thought it was a real bird LOL... we ran out of room for the cage, now Buddy Bob sits on top of the fish aquarium.

Well, you are my hero sis ;)

I thought it was more fitting to have screaming, "squawk"ing feather kid as my avatar LOL.... That pic was Hedwigs(G2) everyday behavior when we first got him. He was a wholly terror, biter and scared if his own shadow. He would do this if you even looked at him... not that way now tho :D

What?... you dont have Mocha's??... oh dear, this is sad... its chocolate coffee... can be hot or iced/blended... we love our Mocha's here and have drive thru java huts around every corner... even got hubby hooked on the "fru-fru" coffee's!. Do you have a Starbucks?. Please tell me that you do!. I wouldn't get nothing done without my coffee's LOL

Its been in the 60's here.. so bring your bathing suit, we'll lay in the pool with our Mocha's and I'll have hubby throw a few steaks on the barbie.

I'll get started on the doggie baths since it takes awhile, so we'll have more time to compare lotions when you get here :D

LOL Oh man am I blonde. I read it as moo-cha. I thought it was a California thing. My Uncle went to San Jose to visit my cousin a few years back and asked him if there were chi-chi's in CA. and my cousin was like 'oh yeah, really big ones!' Well after a little coversation they realized their misteak. My Uncle meant Chi-Chi's resturant and my cousin meant 'chest'! Is that what you guys call them? ha ha Anyway, thats where I was confused but now I know what your talking about. I'm more of a Cappicino lover but mochas are my second favorite. Still haven't got Jim hooked yet. But he will venture of the regular coffee path at Starbucks! And I know what you mean about needing the coffee's...it's my addiction! Well, that and chocolate!

60's?? Oh that sounds like heaven to me. Now I have to find my suit and some sun tan lotion. Just one problem...I'm afraid to fly!!

Blonde moment there sis  .. I never have one of those.

LOL....we, in the dog rescue world refer to Chihuahua's as chi chi's
but I have heard it referred to a womans anatomy LOL. That's so funny... hey, San Jose is only about an hour and a half from me!. Your afraid to fly?... I LOVE to fly.. I used to say I wanted to be reincarnated as a bird so I can fly everywhere!. Just take along Jack Daniels and you'll be fine. Dogs are all bathed and vacuumed.. they love to be vacuumed LOL and it saves me from having to pick up the bags of hair!.

I only flew once (well twice, there and back) and Jim swore he would never fly with me again! My Dr. prescribed some nerve pills that did not kick in until we landed. We were sitting in the seat and he was showing me where the air vents about your head were and I was surprised at how close that was to mye and I got closterphobic and started yelling 'I have to get off!' Well the plane had just started moving and I heard a guy across the isle saying 'sterwardess, I think this is her first flight.' Meanwhile I'm still screaming and Jim is telling me to be quiet. He was quite embarrassed. I got my wings when I left the plane though.:D The trip home was less stressful . I ordered a vodka and o.j. and dumped the whole bottle in the cup of o.j. Jim asked what I was doing and I said I was trying to calm my nerves. I don't normally drink. Anyway, all it did was make me have to go to the bathroom and while I was in there, I was afraid we'd crash and when they found my body with my pants down, they'd say 'oh this one was in the bathroom.' So how long were these flights I was on? Well I think from here to Chicago, IL. is 40 mins.:o

'TOO - that is so funny. I used to be almost the same way about flying. (not quite that bad) Well, we flew to Hawaii in Dec. of 2002 and that was a 9 hr flight. We had a huge plane and you didn't even know you were in the air - that is how smooth and calm the flight was. I was even able to sleep thru at least half of it. So, the more flying you do the easier it gets. I guess you kind of get used to it. Like Jan I love being in the air and would be absolutely fine if there was a "no crash" guarantee thing. LOL
