Below is a link to my photobucket album. These are not quite "pet" pics. I've been working on getting some of my pics from my trip to Africa in 1997 online. I've been wanting to do this for a while, just in case something ever happens to my albums. This is just a small selection of the 600 pictures I have.
It's easiest to view as a slideshow.
**Warning-There are a few "kill" pics**

Woah! Those are amazing pictures! I'm so amazed that you could get such good pictures of the animals. My favorite is the giraffe!

I was almost afraid to look at the pictures. I thought the kill shots were pics of someone's hunting trophies. I'm glad I finally looked, though. They were terrific.

My favorite was the mother and baby cheetah. Awesome pics. You should be a National Geographic photographer or something. AMAZING!!!!

Thanks! I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but I love all the baby pics. The baby elephants have ton of personality. They are incredibly playful and also like to act big and tough.
My next project will be putting up pics from Botswana. Not sure when I will have those done though.

Did someone say elephants? :D They've captured my affection ever since I read When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson.
Michelle, those were amazing photos. Geez, who knew you were such an intrepid traveler! For all my love of nauture, I'm not sure I could get quite that close to lions and their fresh kill. While I understand the laws of the jungle (so to speak), I'm pretty sure the sight of it would make me weak in the knees!
Thanks for sharing, that was a real treat!

Thanks! I absolutely love Elephants. They are so family orientated and extremely protective. The babies puff up and charge, mocking the adults. Quite honestly, I don't think I could ever go to a zoo again after seeing any of these animals in the wild. I have complete videos of everything also. Wish there were a way of getting them on the computer.
The lions, well, I can't even describe in words what that was like. We followed the entire zebra kill, from the female stalking and bringing the zebra down, to the rest of the pride joining in. We were about 10 feet from it. After they were done they were rubbing up against the land rover. Their growls go through your entire body and are haunting.
If I could, I would live out there in the middle of nowhere and I'd be completely at peace.
