Hi, I took the boys swimming today. Both of my sisters came and one brought two of her dogs. This is the first time Koda has been swimming this season. I'm not sure if he remembers going there last summer. He had such a wonderful time and spent almost the entire time there in the water. Dubby doesn't do alot of heavy duty swimming anymore with his arthritis and hip, but he goes in for short swims and wades around alot. Toby doesn't really like to get wet. My sisters took some really nice pics of me and all the boys but when I got home they were not on the camera. My batteries had died! GRRR!
Anyway, here are a few good ones.

I think I have seen him wetter from playing in the snow. I bet the water up there is C-O-L-D........

It was absolutely freezing...and I went in up to my knees with my jeans and sneakers! BRRRR
Yes, they do seem wetter with the snow. If you look at the picture of Dubby sitting, and see how fluffy his tail is, that is only about 5 minutes after he got out of the water. That is what the water resistant coat does.

You were brave to wade in even to your knees. I guess that coat insulates the boys against the cold.

Hi, Yes, it was freezing! The water there is freezing in the middle of the summer when it's 100 degrees outside. That's what they love the most about it.

Aww! They're having a lot of fun! Chica doesn't like swimming...it's too bad because I do, I think it'd be pretty nifty if we could go swimming together, but she just looks at me with the oddest expression whenever I call her out to me from the water. : )

I know, Chloe doesn't like the water either and I wish she did. If she only knew what she was missing.:)

I don't know how to do 2 quotes so I copied and pasted above marg's post.
Well, my sisters dogs don't like the water much either. Chloe, one of her dogs was tippy toeing into the water. It was so cute to watch because she wanted to get the stick. Koda kept taunting her with it. When she would run after him to get it he would run back into the water!:)

Thanks! Yes, they love the water. Newfies are bred for water rescue and have webbed feet.
I'm thinking about doing water work with Koda as he seems like a natural.
