We have added a new member to our family. Last friday we went to the trades days in canton, tx just to look at the puppies they have and before we knew it we were on our way back home with a black and white husky ( which looks just like demon on Snowdogs-the movie)
As most of you know, we had to have our 9 year old husky (Tasha) put to sleep in this past December, due to nasal cancer. It has now been 5 months and this new bundle of energy is helping to ease our pain.

We truly believe that Tasha's spirit led us to this new baby, because she has the same traits that Tasha had and more.

Our new baby's name is SkyeDancer, but we just call her Skye. She is now 11 weeks old and I just hope she grows out of the chew stage soon, before I dont have a house left. :) I hope to have some pictures of Tasha and Skye soon for you to see. :D

Good luck with your new member. I have a 3 year old husky named Sasha and she is my baby. I will be a basket case if anything ever happens to her. And good luck on the chewing. That lasts a long time. LOL. Bernice

You are soooo right about a puppy easing the pain. I know Shadow helped me to deal with losing Bailey.

Chewing, hmmmm? I order some really tough chews at http://www.petextras.com Shadow is partial to the Antlerz, Ocean Chews, bullstix, and achilles tendons.

Good luck and congrats!

Congrats. I'm happy you took your time to get another dog. Some people get another dog like a week after. Congrats again!

Wolflady, where's the picture??? lol

I at one time years ago had several huskies along with my German Shepherd. To give them all exercise I began dog sledding. Have you ever tried it? I miss it, but here in Nevada there is no way to keep doing it. Tons of fun, and huskies live to run! I just realized you said Texas. Not much snow there either....what a shame:(
