what kind of lovies do you have?

is their paper in their cage?

are they regurgitating food for each other?

then is the sound almost like... a "click click click" sound they make?

i cant really describe it, but it's not their constant chirp... it's more like a "click click" at best.

if they're regurgitating for one another, then the sound you hear may just be their mating sound.

it doesn't necessarily mean they're a "boy or a girl" the only way to know is DNA sex, and that's not even 100% accurate. the only other fool proof way is if one lays egg, then you have a hen... if it's not fertilize (you can see a yolk with some red veins if placed to a light) the other may be also female, or an unexperience male.

that being said, my peach face always feeds my conure, makes the noise at my conure, and even tries to mount him...even though he's twice her size... :)

It doesn't has to be male and female. My male lovebird collects grass for nesting.
