Those are some good looking animals, what breed are they?

I call them my designer dogs that were abandoned at the local animal shelter. I'm not sure what Lucy, the bigger dog is. She is some type of terrier mix. Annie is supposedly a Shih-Tzu/Poodle mix. Annie is the type of dog people pay hundreds of dollars for. I paid $70 for her. I've had Lucy almost 2 years now and she was $45. That covered their spaying, worming and lst shots. They are both great companions.

So cute! It's nice to see that Lucy is comfortable enough with Annie to let her lay next to her.

Annie is very thoughtful. She puts a LOT of thought into how she is going to get around the word NO! Her thoughts usually work too!

They were so cute this afternoon. Lucy and Milkshake were having a "set to" as we call it. Just wrestling, all over the sofa, on top of DH, just having a ball. Annie wanted SO badly to get into the frey and she tried really hard to get there. I had to block her from every avenue because she was determined! She finally did give up. I knew she wasn't allowed to do that. I did promise her that once the vet said she could play, she was more than welcome to join those two!

I can't wait to hear stories about the three of them when Annie is able to join the fun.

I'm getting ready to take Annie to the vet. She is coughing more than I think she should be. I called them and they said some coughing was normal, but they wanted to see her and check her lungs and heart, to make sure everything was okay. The coughing seems worse at night. I would think it would be worse during the daytime when she actually gets up to go potty and to eat. She also has this gagging thing going on at the end of her cough. I think she has a fever too. Her nose is quite warm, but then maybe it is a myth that a dogs nose is always wet and cold. She's just too quiet this morning from what I've gotten used to. Hopefully they will tell me she is okay and to stop worrying! (I did this worry thing with my human kids too). None of this sounds good, but I'm probably worrying over nothing. I've never had a dog with heartworms before and to me, it's all kinda scary.:(
