My little basset puppy just turned 6 mo. and she needs to get fixed. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the average cost for this procedure so I know what to expect.

I think it varies from vet to vet......my vet charged $88 for the spay but there were additional charges for pain meds, overnight stay, ect. which brought the price up a little higher.

If there is a Noah's Ark in your area or a humane society you could contact these places and see if they do spaying at a discount. A lot of times these places will assist in the spaying of peoples animals in their continued effort to prevent more unwanted puppies into the world.
