cat lost some fur on one ear

I have a little siamese that I just noticed has lost a lot of fur on one ear. The skin doesn't look irritated at all; no scratches, scabs, or oozing at all. She acts perfectly normal. The only odd thing I've noticed is that at the base of her ear is some flaky skin. It looks kind like dandruff. It doesn't bother her at all when I touch it. Does anyone know what this might be? What should I do for her until I can contact a vet?

Sounds like your siamese may have an allergy to something. I would suggest seeing your vet, they can test for allergies and see if they can pinpoint the allergine. Otherwise its a long process of trying to find out what kitty is allgeric too.

Did you recently change food? this is the most common allergy. Another would be your detergent, kitty can have a reaction to this too.
