I know this is not a new one for anyone with dogs out there, but I have never gotten a complete answer to my question. I have 2 female dogs. They are mother and daughter. They are both over the age of 7 and occasionally, the daughter (At least I think it is her) pees on my bed. She is the alpha dog since she has lived with me longer than the mother dog has. Has anyone gotten a vet's answer to this annoying behavioral problem?

I've heard that some females "mark" their territory, especially if they are the alpha dog. Maybe she's marking your bed to proclaim the bed and you as hers?

Yes, I figure that this is a "marking" activity but what baffles me is she seems to do it when I have spent a lot of time with her. I just try to keep my bedroom door closed, but the mystery intrigues me. I get really mad at her, but I know that maybe if I understood the behavior, I might be able to tackle the problem from a psychological approach.
