Well, you heard me, and I'm soooo excited about them. Well, they were abandoned in an apartment building recently, so I got ahold of them. =) They are both hatchlings, about 175 grams a piece. One is kind of messed up (just some old shed stuck on her) but she's chubby, and the other one is opposite of that. Alittle on the skinny side, but clean as a button. I probed them out to be 1.1, so I guess I got kind of lucky. The male (the clean one) has already taken a f/t rat pup for me. Woohoo...=) I decided to snap a few quick shots of him just now to show you all the cuteness..=) The female was hiding, and in shed so I'll leave her alone for a bit...

Think of names! I'm so bad at that! lol..

Sorry for the low-quality pics, I wanted to hurry and let him settle back down...=)

Anyway, thanks for looking.. =) I'll get pictures up of the female once she sheds and eats for me.

Those pictures look like a western rattler? LOL... I think I may have gotten confused...Just in case anyone doesn't know, the snake pictured above is a ball python.

And about those rattlers, I have a few of those lying around here. They don't necissarily make great pets, but awesome to keep and look at and learn from and respect anyway. :D

Thanks for the compliments. =) I know I hate hearing when pets are abandoned. And in that SAME apartment where these little guys were, were 5 puppies, some cats, and a few parrots. Ahh man it was just awful. I am only hooked up to keep snakes though, otherwise I would have taken them all in. :(

WOW....more beautiful babies! They are gorgeous ... and very lucky to be in a good and loving home. Let us know when you name them -- you always come up with unique and original names for your babies. :)

Thanks guys, :) Jenny, I have 20 in total, and loving every single one of them!

There is one I am worried about though. I rescued her from a pet store owner (if you can believe that), and she told me that the ball python was freshly imported and hasn't seen the vet yet or anything. Well, imports are POUNDED with internal and external parasites that will kill them if left untreated. She wanted to get rid of it because it had "little bugs that are nasty, crawling all over her". Those are what we call mites (she had tons of ticks on her as well). VERY, VERY bad for a reptile. (I'm sure you know, Jenny). Well, anyway, I took her to the vet, and sure enough she had pinworm along with a ton of other worms, she also had coccidia, stomatis, scale rot, and retained eye and skin sheds. She was a mess. Well, now she is very clean, shed everything out okay, and treated for parasites. But the poor thing just will not eat, and she was losing tons of weight in a matter of a month. She doesn't seem to be losing any now (due to getting the parasites treated), and I THINK she is pregnant from the wild. The poor thing....She isn't NEARLY as big as she needs to be to have any fertile eggs. I hope she rejects the sperm, but it doesn't look like it. She looks past her ovulation stages.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, I just hate everything about importing snakes....
