We couldn't find Sam(U2) the other day... he wasn't on his cage and we hunted all over calling his name. Then I heard a soft "Hi Sam"... we found him hiding on this spiral wrought iron plant stand in the kitchen.... dont know what Im going to do with these guys LOL

"You lookin for me?"

cool birds... I've had parakeets, finches, and love birds, but favorite was my Cockatiel. He was the only 1 that would get on my shoulder I would like to get another one, but i have too many cats now!

Thanks guys :D. Sam's still a tough guy to read... especially when it comes to me. He's very loving one minute.. then aggressive the next. Once you have him on your arm, he cuddles. He still doesn't know how to "step up" and is real wobbly. Its obvious he hasn't been held like he should, but we're working on it. Its sad for us to see the other three playing, talking and jumping around and all Sam does is sit there or scream. He still only says "hi Sam"... hasn't attempted to say anything else. Hopefully in time, he'll come around and have a personality like the other three goobers!. They're so much fun. We have 4 parrots Lou... that are VERY messy and can scream VERY loud LOL. The other three have quite a large vocabulary!.

You are TOO funny sis! hehe

Great pictures! Hehe, Sam is SO cute, "I blend in perfectly, don't I???" Poor Sam, he's had a rough time, but I'm sure over the months with you he will start to act like a funny U2 again. Oh btw, do you want another bird? There's a Vasa parrot in CA without an upper beak that needs a good home at Petfinders.

Your TOO sounds like my Buddy(Mustached Parrot) only I have had Buddy 3 years and he just turned this way sinse Dexter(my TAG) and Oliver (Quaker) Got Dexter last Sept. and Oliver about a month ago. I don't understand why he got so uptight about them I changed nothing about his status in the house.....did not move his cage or nothing...go figure...lol

I did see Headly Jenny.. poor little thing. Pacifica is quite a ways from me... I'll show it to hubby and see what he says. I'd love to get him.
Did you see the Goffin Cockatoo in Arlington, VA?... actually, he's living in Hamburg, PA.... He doesn't look like a plucker and his name is Sam too!. There's also a young Umbrella that was not weened before coming to the US and a Sulpher Crested Cockatoo with one wing at Arlington...poor babies, wish I could take them all home!

Sis~ the Umbrella is LOUDER than all three of the others put together sometimes... He has the most screaching, high pitched screams!.

Jenny~ earplugs are a must in our house LOL... we may all be deaf in a few years.. the neighbors too!!!.

Lou~ Hedwig(Goffins Cockatoo) is the only one that will make noises at night... he'll talk, sing and laugh if he hears anyone up... most the time he'll say "come 'er" "hey, come 'er" ... we try to be very quite if we get up to go to the bathroom, but that little guy has excellent hearing.. he can hear us whispering in the bedroom, he'll start laughing, then get us to laughing LOL. The other three dont make a peep until morning when we uncover their cages.
