Question about recall

Is the recall only for wet food and not the dry? I feed Nutro and am very worried. I've read the list on the menu website and think it is just the wet, but I want to see if I am reading this right. I guess I just want someone else to say that is what they understand. I checked all the numbers and it doesn't look like Chloe's is listed, thank goodness.

From what I can see, every Nutro entry refers to a "can" or [foil] pouch. I did not get the impression that this recall affected dry kibble at all, but I didn't not read each entry in its entirety.

If you're still in doubt, I'd call the phone # listed.

Scary stuff. :(

I heard on the news it was chunks and gravy type foods.

Yes, I also noticed when I opened the documents it was canned and pouches. I would give them a call, just in case.

Pretty scary, think you're giving your dogs a good brandname food, and you may be hurting them instead. I've been feeding IAMS canned -- sometimes the chunks in gravy -- but only a spoonful on top of their morning meal every day. I haven't heard if the signs of illness are almost immediate, or a gradual decline. Anybody know?

I'm not sure what the immediate signs would be. Just watch for anything that is out of the ordinary. If possible you can do a blood workup at the vet and see if there are any abnormalities.
It is really scary, and these recalls are more common than they should be.

What's really frustrating is that the IAM's canned chunks and gravy was still on my local Walmart's shelves yesterday.

Well, they may not be the same batch numbers. But I have a feeling that people will be leary for some time as this recall has affected so many companies.
