Sore On Face

I bought a gentle leader for Kipp and it left burns under each of his eyes. I put ( no pain neosporin) on them so they don't get infected. The scabs are starting to fall off revealing a dark pink piece of flesh, is this normal?

Hmmm, I'm not really sure. Do you keep in touch with other people who have service dogs? It might be a good idea to see what they have to say, if this is a common problem for them and what they have to say. I don't have to use my halti all that often, but your situation is different.

Two days ago his scabs looked pretty good, but the strange thing about them is they are very thick. Which implies that the burn was pretty bad. He's been scratching his face a lot lately.
I thought about buying some bag balm, but I don't know what else to do:confused:

The burns/rubs might have been so bad that he's lost pigmentation in his skin from the scarring/scabbing.
