hey all!
something's up with my Canary and i was wondering if anyone could help at all:confused:
his left eye is completely normal, but his right eye seems to have lost some feathers around it and the feathers that are there look wet. i thought maybe he just washed that eye lots but its constantly like that even when he hasn't been in his water for a bath. i am more worried about the two lumps above his right eye. they look like tumors, each about the size of his eye ball. i am not really sure what's wrong or what to do about it and i can't get to the vet for another few days so I was wondering if anyone knew what to do?!

Sorry, don't think there is anything to do but get to the vets as soon as possible. This sounds pretty serious.

I have to agree with dlaura here. I had a Canary who got cancer and they are so petite there is not much you can do at home. Could be the vet could at least biopsy those places. Maybe something to do with his sinus's.....you just can not tell until a certified Avian Vet can see him. I wish you the best and please keep us updated!

ooooooh dam i didnt think it would be that serious!!! well i found a vet close to home but he cant see my bird till the weekend.......not gooooood..... i did notice that my bird is rubbinh his eye on his wood, much alike how he cleans his beak. at first i thought that was all he was doing but then i looked closer and noticed he was rubbing his eye....the poor thing. i will get him to a vet asap!

Let us know how it goes. Maybe he was trying to get those places off his self. Birds are very very smart! Good luck and keep us posted!
