Anyone like Siberian Huskies?

Hello, Just joined! I'm very fresh and new, so I'll need all the help I can get to manouvere my way around here. :)

I live in Singapore (that's in SouthEastAsia if you don't know) and I've got a lovely, handsome and totally MAJESTIC Siberian Husky. Feel free to post any messages!

I like huskies but wouldn't want one where I live. It's just too hot for them around here. They are gorgeous dogs though!

I LOVE huskies. I think they are so pretty but then like my dad says: "You think any animal that is alive is pretty" LOL!!!

But I've heard that the Chinese use Tiger and Leopard parts for magical medicine.

Is this true?

Do you believe in such stuff?


Just wondering, cause I happen to have some of those animals used for such medicine.

Yes, it's true, sadly, that chinese use a lot of animals for medicine. In fact, Chinese eat everything alive on the earth! It's so sad. Luckily, in Singapore, this practice is not common (unless you're some kind of phsyco!) Chinese are super superstitious. They believe in everything. I don't though, mainly cause it seems stupid, and cause those poor animals get killed! I feel so ashamed about my fellow chinese! Of course, some chinese are animal lovers too, so don't get mixed up.
My Siberian Husky, Balto, is super cool! he will be six this year, bless him, and he is a male (obvious, isn't it?) I got him when he was one, and then, he was lovely and black and white. But then, when he turned two, he suddenly became blind. The doctors didn't know why. I think it's some kind of disease husky's have. Then, he turned from black to white! Now he's completely white. But he's real happy. he uses his nose to get around. he does bump into stuff, but more or less, he's real happy!
Oh, and in Singapore, it is super hot and humid. But guess what: Balto likes to sunbathe!

I dont personally have a Sibe, but the woman who runs our dog rescue is an expert on them... she used to breed and show them, now rescues them(along with other breeds).. so I'm around them all the time :D. They are beautiful, loyal dogs.. but not for everyone. They are runners, escape artists and high maintanence. They blow they're coats year round and need alot of grooming... but are wonderful and loving companions!. We would love to see pics of Balto, which by the way is a great name!.

And Balto sounds like a beautiful animal. That is too bad he is blind, but at least he won't be as edgy and upstarty if he wasn't.


Maybe he and Syat, my blind Siberian tiger, could relate sometime about been blind.
