Spayed cat ...not happy

how long does it take spayed cats to recover???

cleo was done yesterday....ive confined her to the bathroom....she has towels and a rug and her cat carrier lined wid a towel to keep her comfy as well as food n water etc

she is jus crouched down and growls whenever she moves....she has eaten a small amount of food

just feel mean to do this to her and wondering when she will be her old spazzy bouncy self again?

I have had cats bounce back in 2 days, and have had a few that took almost a week. I think your kitty will be back to spazzing in no time.

As long as she is eating and drinking water she should be okay. Just give her a few days, it's a pretty invasive surgery. If she stops eating or drinking call your vets office.

It took 4 days for my Maggie to get back up and around. I mean, she was totally lethargic. See, she wasn't being cared for before we adopted her and was sooo skinny, so she had a hard time bouncing back after the surgery. My vet said it can take up a week for them to act like themselves again.
