Nedran,
She was beautiful and looks like the special kitty you had described. I am so sorry for your loss. I think most of us that have had loving pets and suffered with their loss so you have a lot of company here.
My heart goes out to you.

Yes, she definitely had an attitude. You knew exactly where you stood with her. She used her "GO AWAY" look frequently, not that I always listened, of course.

Wow, the first pic reminds of how you described her when you first saw her. Chrissie & her headache pillow ...... she looks adorable in that picture. I felt I knew her after I read your story, but now after seeing her pictures I really feel like I know her. She is beautiful..... and I use the present tense because she is still with you in spirit. Where ever she is now she will always continue to be beautiful. Remember she is now running and jumping like a kitten again and pain free.

I find myself talking to her frequently. I had to run to the store earlier and was talking to her in the car. Had to laugh because I realized she would not be in the car with me, she hated the car then and I'm sure she hates the car now!! I use the present tense most of the time as I, too, believe that she is still with me in spirit. I'm sure she is still playing "Grizzly Bear" everytime I walk past the chair.

Nedran,
What great pictures! Boy oh boy does Chrissie have attitude!
I just love the way cats just act like they are queen/king of everything they survey.
I can't get over a cat eating cantelope - never thought to offer my cat cantelope. Maybe I will.

We didn't offer it to her. I had given my son, who was 2 at the time a piece of cantaloupe and had walked back into the kitchen. I ran back into the living room when he started screaming. She had taken it away from him and was sitting on the floor eating it!
