A friend of mine recently had to have her 16 1/2 yr old Shelte/Corgi mix dog put down. That dog was wonderful..so smart and loving!
Is there an official name for that breed?
Where can they be found? (reputable breeders)
Your local animal shelter? Other than that I'm sorry, but I really don't know.

Have you checked out www.petfinder.com you can search for all breeds there and hopefully find some in your area at the local shelters. Please tell your friend I am sorry for her loss, and that saving a dog from the shelter would be a wonderful way to remember her dog. I don't think anyone normally breeds Corgi/sheltie crosses (Corties? Shelgis?)and I am against mix breeding dogs anyway I don't consider anyone a reputable breeder if they breed mix breeds, breeding them lets other dogs die in shelters. So please when you try to help your friend find a new companion rescue from the shelter. And again, I'm sorry for her loss.
