Well I got a daschund/chihuahua girl. Shes very young like 3 months an her leg has been making a creaking noise. She has gotten kinda fat over the past few days and ive been reading about a hip disease dylapsia(or sumthinglike that) . Could she have that at such a young age??? Also i beleive she somehow made her way into the puppy chow. Would this be the cause of the overweight and leg straining problem.
My dog is obssessed with food. I feed her and she just whines for mroe bringing me her food bowl in her mouth. So wen i saw that she had tilted the bag over I expected that she ate a good amount because i have never seen my baby full. Some advice please.. Thanks any would be apreciated

What brand of puppy chow are you feeding her?
Only follow the directions on the bag for how much food she gets per day. How many times a day do you feed her? We feed our dogs twice a day (once in morning, once in evening); we take the recommended amount on the bag and halve it and that is what they get each time.
As for her getting into the food - puppies are like babies they will get into anything and everything especially if they can eat it. So keep the food out of reach.
As for the creaking sound (just like in your other post about that); get her to a vet. They can do xrays to rule out hip dysplasia - and yes any dog of any age can have it.

YES! only follow the direction on the bag of food. If she likes the taste of the food she will want more! You do not want to over feed her! The hip you may need to get checked out. Did you get her at a rescue or shelter? Could have been abuse. We see lots of dogs all ages with hip problems from past owners kicking them :( Let me know on that one. If it was a breeder or pet store I would contact them about that.

I would also ask your vet to do a check for worms. I'm not sure what you mean by your observation that she's "gotten fat over the past few days." Worms can make the belly very hard and round, giving the appearance of being fat. It would be odd that weight gain would show up so quickly.
I had gotten my dog from a pet store. He's a Cavlier King Charles (I just love him) anyway, Rusty was showing signs of pains in his hind leg. We couldn't touch it or he would start crying and limping but it would pass. It wasn't alll the time. Vet checked it out it is Arthritis. Poor thing so young to have that. As to other posts their all right and worms for the belly being hard, could be my baby had worms too. I'll never buy from a pet store again.
Thanks,
Mick

It may not be a hunger issue if she is that young, ave a work up at the vet to rule out medical and then it may be deemed an oral fixation issue. There are very simple ways to curve that behavior. (ie treat balls, chew toys ect) Talk to your vet for ideas. Best of liuck!

Bloated bellies can also be liver disease. Time for a Vet., IMO.
