Sadly MUST sell

Possibly in the summer of this year, I will be offering some probably 2 or 4 Snow Leopard cubs [kittens] for sale.

I live in Russia where Snow leopards and Siberian tigers are hunted for their fur and their bones and I don't want to release the kittens into the wild where they will only be hunted down.


My family and I live in Russia and though we keep two adult Siberian Tigers, and two adult Snow Leopards. We will most likely not be able to support the kittens added.


I need to know that you can house an animal that is naturally wild animal. I can train the animals beforehand and then ship them to you.

But they need a lot of looking after.


Any offers.


If none, they will be sold to Russian zoos or circuses where they will most likely be mistreated.


ps. We may be able to keep the kittens, but I want to make sure if we can't, that we have possible good homes for them.

Afraid that I would have to agree with originalfatc on this one. These type of animals would not be considered a house pet in the US. Jeez, it is even against the law for me to own a Quaker (type of parrot) in the state I live in. There are some not very nice people that even breed/train pitbulls for fighting competitions. If I were you I would think long and hard before shipping/selling that kind of animal to anyone in US. Mistreatment of animals is world wide and I'd hate to think of your tigers being put to the same use as pitbulls. The fights I mentioned before are bet upon and I've heard that they are sometimes to the death of one of the animals. To make it even worse - injuries incurred during these fights are left untreated to heal (or not) on their own.

Contact the Popcorn Park Zoo here in New Jersey.....they may be able to help you. They are also members of this board.

They are a sanctuary and they have posted pics of their tigers, lions, etc. I have been there and the animals are very well cared for in beautiful surroundings.

Oayo and Taya, the two Snow Leopards that my family and I have saved, became new parents about two hours ago.

Whitetiger. a wild animal sanctuary is a great idea for your babies. i too like what Popcorn Park does. there is also Black Beauty Sanctuary i think in Colorado. i dont know much about it i just heard about it on Animal Planet.

however be very careful who you give your kittens to if you send them to the US. many ( sick) people buy large cats and use them in "Canned Hunts" where they take a large tamed cat like a tiger or couger and release them into a field. however SECONDS after the cage door is open the animal is attacked by dogs and then shot by a hunter who paid alot of money to "hunt" the animal. ive only heard of this in Texas, but im sure it happens elsewhere. this type of thing is illegal and horrendous. they actually showed a canned hunt on a tv show called Real TV. some one video taped it. they hunted a black leopard. the cat made it maybe 20 feet before it was attacked by about 15 dogs, then shot several times before it died. the tape was confiscated for evidence. all the people involved were arrested and thrown in jail. i dont know for how long but hopefully a LONG time.

i dont know who is worse. the person who held the hunt, the hunter or the person who video taped it for a souvinier.

It is illegal to bring exotic animals like snow leopards into the country without proper permits. I highly doubt it is legal for her to ship them outside of Russia either.

yea i agree with yous its a scam you need proper permits you need to feed them at least well i relly dont know how meny raw stakes a mounth thay might b small but ther teeth are 1 of the largest in the animal worald:(even i wich i could get 1 but the permits are $?hundred allone and thay love to clime
