My husband and I had recieved three requests from various family members to help them find a cat. We searched, and finally found a beautiful little stray out in the middle of no where. We brought her home, took her to the vet twice, she's gotten a clean bill of health but will need to be dewormed a final time to make sure she's totally parasite free (she's up for the final round in 10 days). She has not been spayed yet - our family members all said they'd do it. After we got her home (we aren't allowed to have another cat, we rent - the landlord is fine with temporary ones) our family members all said that they did NOT want a cat after all - and presented pathetic excuses. Anyway, Sophie is a beautiful girl, and LOVES to be loved. She's totally litter trained, and has no health issues. She would do well with kids and/or dogs, or as an only pet. We WILL NOT ship her, but if there is anyone in northern (or central) Iowa, south eastern Minnesota, or south western Minnesota, who can give her a good home, PLEASE let us know. Our landlord is getting fed up with her being here, so if nobody expresses the desire to adopt her, she'll be going to our humane society (which, sadly, is NOT a no-kill - all three of the area's no-kill shelters have turned us away due to over-crowding) on Wednesday.
