Hello
I am Alexi
I live usually in Russia, but since my parents are activists against the hunting of wild cats. We move around a lot.
I have no way of posting pictures. I am ever so sorry. But my little brother, Segri, accidentally broke the digital camera a while back.
We won't be able to get another one for some time.
I have lived in Russia all my life, so please forgive me if I appear rude, I am not used to American ways.
But I would be filling to describe the VERY UNUSUAL pets that I have as friends. They are all felines.
All of the animals below are listed as endangered, Snow Leopards and Siberian Tigers. My parents and I saved them when they were found wounded or no longer wanted and therefore unable to survive in the wild.
The first is a large female Snow Leopard called Taya. She was originally caught in a hunter's steel trap which my father broke and brought her home. She was nursed back to health but her right forepaw is useless and she can therefore not really grab onto anything. This means that if she had being released back into the wild she would not be able to catch anything and would DIE.
Despite the fact that she was 15 months old when she was found, she has become very sweet and very lazy. Her face is entirely spotted while her shoulders are white and her body has only a few spots. She was caught in a steel trap a while ago, her right paw is useless and if left in the wild she would have died. She is now 2 years old.
Second is a male Snow Leopard called Oayo. A rich Russian doctor originally owned Oayo and put the animal through his own circus treats, which were NOT very nice. This is plain to see with the huge gash across Oayo's face, from right eye to the left side of his bottom jaw.
He has very short hair compared to what it should be. The reason is because he was trapped in some room when the doctor's house burnt down. It is lucky that he survived. He was 2 and a half years old then, he is now 3 years old.
Third there is Rayo. She is a beautiful solid white 8 foot long female Siberian Tiger. She has blue eyes and hardly any stripes. Originally she belonged to a nursing home where she acted like these dogs that visit nursing homes in America. She was there to cheer the people up.
She was not born in the wild and due to this, she is unable to hunt, she has no knowledge of how it hunt.
Fourth, there is Syat. He is a massive bright orange 11 foot long 943 pound male Siberian Tiger. He is BLIND. He was originally in a Russian circus when he was 1 year old but a terrible accident happened when he was jumping through a hoop of fire for his white mane touched the fire and his entire face was engulfed in flames. Someone split gasoline on his face before the show. He can only see a foot in front of him and by using his sense of smell follows Rayo around who acts like his eyes.
I know they are not usual pets. But they are my pets.
