Carlotta, Paso Fino
I have quiet a few animals so it might take me a while to add them all..so hang in there.
First off, This is my first horse, Carlotta. She is a 9 yr old, beautiful black Paso Fino mare with a white blaze and 1 white hind sock.
I bought her from a man that had too many horses and didnt have time to spend with her. I have wanted a Paso Fino because we board at a Paso Fino farm and I am just intruged by them. So the guy that owns the farm said he knew of a beautiful Paso that was for sale but she didnt gait at all anymore...for some reason. Well I decided she would be a great starter horse for me because she was trained already, as she used to show in Paso Fino shows before she developed laminites (sp?)but didnt founder. We finally got the guy to bring the horse down so we could try her out and I fell inlove as soon as she stepped out of the trailer. She was so pretty and well behaved I knew she'd be great for me. So after a few weeks we bought her and decided to get her shoes put of her b/c she seemed to limp on her front feet. Immediately after the farrier put her shoes on he jumped on her and rode her around the yard, and so everyones surprise she started to gait again and didnt limp anymore after that. And now we are getting ready for the show in May, I think we have a chance at winning. Shes such a sweet horse and Im glad I found her so at least she can enjoy her life now, as now she is spoiled to death and gets tons of attention.
