warm feet, vomiting on my finger, plucking feathers, warm beak and just have that feel he is feeling sick. not on the bottom of cage, he is sleeping high up and plays, but not as much. Has a high pitch chirp and gets upset easily lately. I am about to give him a warm bath and clean cage out, and I clean his cage at least every 2wks (hosing it down), did I mention we live in Arizona, so it's quit warm here. anyways, I wanted to know if anyone can give any advice, and honestly not sure IF I can afford the vet, so I wanted to get the home rememedies in first. besides I have no idea what the vet will cost and afraid to find out. sorry. also this is a smoke free home, can't say too much on dust free, I try to keep up with the desert dust.
Anytypes of foods that may help my poor guy out. I know that if we are sick vitamins help and garlic will kill anything along with vit B12 complex and C of course. worried!!??!!

Birds will hide that they are ill. Yours is showing it is ill, so it needs to be seen by a Vet. immediatly. If you can't afford to care for it, find a rescue group that will have your sick pet taken care of.

I also recommend that people don't get pets they can't care for. Denying medical care to a pet is a crime in many places.

Welcome to Petlovers - too bad it is under this circumstance.

I agree with lola that if you can tell the bird is sick, chances are it really is sick and needs to get to a vet. Any good vet should work with you on a payment plan if you can't afford it.

Lola - the poster never said he couldn't afford it, he is just afraid that he won't be able to and how many of us aren't afraid of vet costs when our animals are sick (when our Rottie was sick it ended up costing over 2000 grand, and that scared us very much). Yes, if people can't afford to care for a pet they shouldn't get one, but you don't know that this is the case here - financial situations change from when you initially get a pet to when it is actually sick.
