Is this normal?

Yesterday, I was watching my uromastyx and all of a sudden he blinked a few times, and each time some reddish tissue popped out of his eye for a second, then went right back in and his eyes returned to normal. As if that isn't weird enough, then I saw my green lacerta do the same thing today! Has anyone else experienced this with reptiles? :confused:

Jenny, that's a new one on me. In all the years of being around lizards, I can't relate to this scenario. Do the two lizards come in contact with each other? Not to make a joke or anything, but keep your eye on the problem to see if there are any changes. I often get obsessed over things like this until I know what it is. I hope you keep posting on it.

B- I've been watching all today and last night and haven't noticed it anymore. Their cages are side by side but that's the only contact they have. I'm going to ask my vet next week and see if she has any idea about it. Thankfully other than the eye thing they both are looking like they're supposed to.

I have lizards too and i have never heard of anything like that, my suggestion is to take them to the vet, that doesn't sound right at all
