I just got a cat from a friend, she is still young, not even spayed yet. Her walking appears to be fine, but when she climbs stairs she has a very obvious limp in one of her rear legs. She also sits very awkwardly, with one leg sticking out.
Is this a sign of a major problem?

I'd get it checked out. It may be nerve damage that doesn't bother her at all, or it could be something more serious. Take her to a vet ...

I went to the vet yesterday and she said my cat probably broke her leg or something before I got her and it's already mostly healed, but her knee joint is useless. Fortunately she's not in much pain any more, but I dont like to think about how she must have felt before!
