This is Sam waiting to be fed. I took about 50 pictures of this bird and they were all really bad. He moves too much. I wanted you to see the real way he acts before I feed him. He has his mouth open and screams his head off, but I had to settle for a picture where he calmed down.

This is Mr. Impossible to take a picture of, eating. He bobs his head too much to get a clear picture. I took at least 10 pics of this and this is the best one.

How adorable! I can't believe how much they've grown in such a short amount of time! When do tiels wean anyway? Have they fledged yet? I'm so lost when it comes to breeding and such, I have yet to do research on it

Silly Haley, must miss her baby days! I wish Aleda would take her meds like a baby eats their food, but nope.. no such luck. She growls a lot when I have to give them to her lol.

What lovely babies Sockadine!!! And Haley looks so cute. My babies are all grown up now and do quite well on their own. I never had to handfeed though.....thank goodness because I do not know how:(
Keep up the good work!:)

Oh my gosh.. they've gotten so big!... look at all their feathers!. They're so cute. You've done such a wonderful job with them. How many times a day do you feed them now?. Hayley wants some of that good stuff too LOL. To cute.. keep the pics coming!!!.

The babies are eating 4 times a day right now. Tiels usually wean at about 8 weeks when they are kept with their parents. It usually varies bewteen 8 and 10 weeks for hand fed babies. Last time they weaned at about 9 weeks. The youngest one will probably take alot longer then the older one. The other babies started flying at about 5 weeks and the oldest one started flying yesterday and he turns 4 week tomorrow. He's already trying to eat on his own and takes less formula. He eats about half at some feedings and then flys away. I guess that's exciting for him. I'd be excited if I found out I could fly one day.

Now that I think about it, I don't think Hayley does talk as much as she did when Tommy was here. She usually only talks now if she wants your attention. Speaking of Tommy, I gave him some formula when he was here too. He took it like a baby bird, like Hayley does. It was so cute.
