Hi, I have 3 new kittens that were rescues... I though you may want to see some photos. The website is in my signature...

Please let me know if you have any ideas for building my own cat tree for these 3 rug-rats who are VERY active!!

Stampy, Oscar and Bing are non-stop jumpers and wrestlers

:p

Well I kinda have an idea? Did you ever see those big rolls that have paper on them. When the paper is gone its a huge roll like made out of cardbored. Do you have a paper mill near you? You can always go there and ask for the empty rolls. I can get them anytime My hubby works in them. Then go to the nearest rug store and ask for rements? They throw them away into the dumpsters all the time in the back of the stores. Ask if any new have been tossed or if they have any they are tossing and grab them. Be carefull rugs have some sort of spray in them and you may have to treat them first. Or wal-mart has some for sale at 3 dollars. cut holes in them and wrap the rolls and place them on a stand that you may be able to buy at any pet store or have one made. there you have it a rug roll cat play stand? LOL Good luck!

How much experience do you have with building things out of wood? I've built tall cat condos as well as scatch posts. If you don't have a saw, a drill, staple gun, screwdriver, hammer, etc, it will be more difficult to do.

If you have (or can borrow these supplies), and have some experience, I'll be glad to write up some general plans.

Well, I dont have blue prints.. hubby keeps them in his head.. but I can give you visual help. Here's a cat stand he built years ago. Its holding up great, we just have to replace the carpet every few years.. they use it as a scratch post instead of the furniture... in fact, it needs to be replaced now :p

Hope it helps!

LOL... k sis... I'll tell him to make 2 more. He has made a few for other people. He made one for my mom and she loves it, her cats stopped scratching up the furniture. My cats live on mine, I think they'd be lost without it!. Pooh is on the top and Marble is on the lower one gazing out the window ;). The dogs on the bottom are just a statue. LOL

LMAO!... oh, I love my pooh... but its not easy to clean my pooh, it doesn't float and tries to jump out of the tub... my pooh follows me everywhere and sleeps with me in bed.... sometimes my pooh rolls on the carpet and hides in corners and attacks your feet... pooh does bite sometimes you know...me and my pooh are inseparable.... I'm going right now to hug my pooh....
