I thought this was a fun question since there are so many things about Perky that I adore:

I love-

the feel of her little hot feet when she lands on me!

her little chirpy, peeping noises she makes when she's happy. :D

the way she zooms around the room and suddenly lands in an often goofy spot, like on the edge of a picture frame.

The way she trances out while sitting on her dud eggs.

the way she hops! She reminds me of Woodstock from the comic Peanuts!

when she acts like she's the Queen that she is, lifting up her head and declaring whatever she wants to.

when she nibbles on my lips to try to taste what I've eaten. I know this isn't good to allow but she's the Queen!

Cheeze, I could go on but it's your turn.

I love my Maximillian's Pionus Parrot Marcel simply because:

He needed a home and I rescued him.....Now I have this huge soft spot in my heart for this 3 year old bundle of fun.

He starts my day with a big "Hello" from under his cover in the morning.

He decides to bathe that big body in a small water dish, just after I meticulously clean out his cage and place dry paper on the bottom.

He "yells" at me when I put him in the kitchen sink for a good soak and spray, then doesn't want to come out.

He loves his warm towel and blow dry after his bath

He loves to watch me sweep up his mess under his cage, then takes joy in making a mess all over again.

He lets me gently stroke his beautiful beak and scritch his head while I'm holding him ....and then grinds his beak with contentment.

He loves to visit grandma because she spoils him....and her's is his second favorite shoulder.

His eyes flash happily when I come home.

He demands his dinner with a loud squawk and then eats next to our dinner table on his perch stand.

He touches his beak to my lips ever so gently when I say "Kiss"

He says "What you Want" when HE wants MY attention

He points his head in the direction he wants to go in when he's on my shoulder for a ride.

He jumps right to my shoulder when he sees someone strange to him, then hides in my hair.

He looks so lovable when he tucks his head on his back for a nap and watches me with that one big open eye.

He relies on me completely

then, At the end of the day, he sweetly says "nite nite" after I cover him.

Most of all, I love by "baby boy" because he loves me unconditionally.

I love my cockatiel Snickers and 4 Budgies, Razzle, Dazzle, Chubbee and Frisbee very very much, too.

Snickers is so lovable and loves to be cuddled and kissed daily.
She loves to beg and screech at my husband when he brings home warm bagels in the a.m.
She yells out the window at anything moves.
She's soft and warm and feels like silk

Our Budgies are called"Our Gang" because they are just that. They do everything together, eat, play, sleep, etc.

I love them for their beauty, curiousity, independence, and the joy they bring us.

Enough said.......I love my entire flock.

i can agree with you on your favorite things your love bird does as in the past i have owned love birds and i love all the same things as their personalities are similar. however, i now own a lilac-crowned amazon (hootie ha) and a blue and gold macaw (cookie)

hootie ha--

when i come home after being at work, he says hiiiiiiiii, i love his smell, his lizard like feet, his "chu chu" sounds when he is thanking me for letting him eat or drink what i am, the flashing of his eyes and fanning of his tail, even his jealously, i love kissing his head, his curiousity, if you put him down he will get into everything, when you set him on the table or a flat surface....instead of walking he scoots or skiis across the table and it makes this shuffling sound. he imitates every sound possible, including my gulping when i'm swallowing, drinking. he also makes the kiss sound and then says "i love you hootie ha", everyone that meets him automatically falls in love with and his name.

cookie--

man what a hand ful she is, i also love her smell, her long tail and the "presents" when she is molting she leaves on the bottom of the cage for me. her constant trying to communicating with me by her back and forth or side to side movements of her head and flashing of her eyes and the sssssss sound she makes, her previous owners taught her to say ttttttt, some kisses, her nichname is missy moo moo, she loves to say good cookie, she is a good cook, bad cook, and smart cookie. she rolls on her back under the covers and kicks her feet and loves to play that way, she has her little stuffed animal ( yo quero taco bell dog) she attcks viciously, she is such a huge bird.

okay, there's some of my list for now, i could go on and on also (:

My favorite part of owning a bird is that they are so eager to learn. Taz learned how to tie knots just by watching my mother do it. They have such an ability to learn just by watching and listening. I also like an animal that can share almost every meal.

I voted for what my pet does. I have a Tabby cat named Tiger and he makes the cutest/funniest sound!!It's like a purr/meow thing. Hope to get a Conure.
