MY pearl cockatiel passed away last night. We had her for about 4 yrs. One minute she was fine the next she was gasping for air. We are all so sad about this. We don't know what went wrong and are very concerned about the other two cockatiels that she lived with. All dropping were normal. She was eating normal but she has been overweight since we got her. They are on a seed diet which I have been trying to change but with no success. They just leave the pellets. I am going to make an appointment with the vet to check the other cockatiels out. I have five in all and one macaw.

I'm sorry for your loss. :( I hope the Vet finds all of your other birds to be in good health.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Glad to hear you are having the others checked out. You can never be to careful where birds are concerned.

I am so sorry to hear about your Cockatiels death. This is so odd because Nikki(member here) just lost her Parakeet and our granddaughter just lost her Cockatiel. Just like yours, fine one minute, gone the next. I am hoping your other birds are going to check out fine.

I brought one the cockatiels into the vet last night to have her checked she was not acting right. They did xray, drew blood, gave her a shot and started her on antibiotics. Poor little thing. We have results today of blood work. Also had me take all my cockatiels out the room where my macaw is. I scrubbed cages til midnight. We write back when results come in
