abused dog needs some help

My friend has a gorgeous dog that is part wolf and part collie. She just turned a year old in Sept. She is multi color...black..brown and gray. The lady does not want her and is beating her on a regular basis. She told me the dog pees on her floor so she takes an empty vcr tape holder and beats this dog. The dog is left alone all day long...i don't know where she wants the dog to go if she can't get out. She told me when she is home the dog will go to the door. I told her to put in a doggie door but she has decided she wants a cat. I don't want to see this dog abused any more. If i didn't have eighteen cats here and two dogs i would gladly go get her. We are just too full. I live in Ohio but am willing to drive within a reasonable distance to get this dog out of there. Please help me help her.
