Okay get this. I can sing several different songs. My dog wont even notice. Well he notices but he doesn't move or howl or anything. But if I sing "our song" he comes and sits in front of me. What song you may ask? "Sea of Love" Soon as I sing "do you remember the day we met, thats the day I knew you were my pet" he comes a runnin. Its just funny. I felt like posting it. See if anyone else has a special song that their dogs run to.:)

That's so cute!

My Cassie knows Led Zepplin's "Bron Y Ar Stomp" and will look at me and cock her head to the side when I sing "Ah... caught you smiling at me..."

My little JRT used to come running when I sang the theme song from the cartoon "Cat Dog". I haven't been doing that lately... hmmm... maybe I should see if she still remembers it.

What lovely thoughts there. I bet anything your pets do know and are trying to let you know. Don't you just love it????:)

Lol, he is such a darling. Now if I howl he'll howl too, but he wont howl while I sing. I see so many dogs do that one.

My dog is a solid black German Shepherd named Thor, but I always have nick names for my dogs and his happens to be B
so every nite I sing him this song it goes like this:-
B is for boy,B is for black, B is for big, B is for buddy, B is for beautiful, B is for ball, B is for bark, B is for bite, B is for belleview park(his favorite park, B is for Miss B's pizza(the best pizza in town, his favorite) B is for batchewana bay(where we go camping) B is for bad (sometimes) B is for brave, but most of all B is for my baby!!!! He loves this song I sing it to him almost every nite, while he is hugging one of his stuffed animals, its very soothing to him. Once our local T.V. station came over to interview me, because we had a large dog shot by the police and wanted to get some info from me on this situation, anyhow the camera man said he wanted to film thor and me and to just pretend the cameras were not there and do what I would do with him when we were alone, well to sing that song came to me but I thought again, it would not look to proffessional.

omg, I can't carry a tune, but they think I can lol.

the chi and the bg love when I sing "My sharona" ( substitute 'my chihuahua") "Who put the dogs out?" will get them wild.
"Running with the pack" means we're going to the park......ok, so I'm nuts...

Oh my goodness ofc....your not crazy but most certainly funny..:D
Topdog.....What "tune" do you sing this as? I mean...do you have a song...then just used your own words for the song? I think it's very loving to do that. I don't sing.....they would all run out on me if I did......but goof grief....you oughta hear the baby talk...lol:D

Actually I do not know what tune I sing this in but you know the song My bonny lies over the ocean, well it kinda goes likes that and yes in baby talk, infact when my clients come over for training and I tell thor to get the ball, I say get the baaaa, and they look at me funny and I say well he is still a baby and can not say his L's. and they think I am crazy but it makes for a good laugh????
My father use to say to me " you will be 36 years old, have 3 children and will still have to ask permission to go to the drive in with your husband", I guess it rubbed off on me, I keep telling thor he will always be my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I've heard the song Top Dog sings. Although when she does it sometimes it sounds more like Queen's "We are the champions" but thats just my opinion ;)

You are something else as we would say in Bajan,
but you know what like in mad T.V. cha you know what? your probably right. I just started singing that song to thor and guess what your right it does sound like we are the champions, I thought you said that because you know how I think about thor, well he is my baby does no wrong, sees no wrong and he is the best dog on the face of the earth, but I have to agree actually the tune i sing it in does sound like we are the champions, I cannot believe it you are real observant, you could teach me a thing or two!! I still cannot believe it but you are so right it does sound like we are the champions the more i sing it. I do not think I or maybe I should question myself again? but it was not deliberate, anyhow maybe it was deliberate because I love him soo much I think he is a champion. Oh my god I cannot believe you, and you came to me for help????

Top Dog. I may need tons of help in training. But music is my forte. It is where I excel it is what I know best. My music collection would put the local dj's to shame. And my setp dad listened to queen all the time so I knew that song if I hear it.

Hi all!

My Ellie Mae LOVED Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl". Hubbie would play the guitar and I'd sing it to her. Since she crossed last January at age 14, I can't hear that song without crying. She was your basic knee-high brown dog with floppy ears (a street rescue). Don't mean to be a bummer, the song just brings both happy and sad memories.

Awww. That is a really great story. I'll probably be the same way with sea of love. But Diego still has several years left to go

 that is the cutest thing i have ever heard. my dog comes running tome at bedtime but only after i call out " where's my little cuddle bunny?" then she comes running into the bedroom and curls up right next to me and lays her head down on thepillow that i have right next to my head and waits for me to cover us up and tuck her in just like a little baby. mind u my dog is 13 years old:)
