I joined this site just 2 days ago and already those wiggling ads have just about repulsed me enough to cause me to leave.

There are 2 other boards I use that are also the same as yours, vb. But neither have a single moving ad.

Please reconsider allowing them access to your members. Or at least offer a poll to see how many of your other members find them annoying.

Thanks

I have put post-its next to the monitor so I can cover them up. :)

Other boards probably don't have ads because the administrator pays more to keep them off. I don't have the money to donate to make this board free without ads, do you?

Maybe. Who does the books around here?

If you are truly interested in Petlovers.com becoming ad free, it is fairly simple. Become a "supportive" member meaning you pay a small fee for a 1 year membership. With this you get to have an avatar and a few other perks that makes it worth your money. Then, get as many members as you can, especially the ones wanting to get rid of the ads and campaign to get paid membership and when there are enough members that pay their dues to keep a great site like Petlovers up and going then possibly the ads will go. We have over 10,000 members here and it takes quite abit of money to keep a site this big rolling smoothly. I really do not think anybody really likes the ads, but personally I will continue to work around them because there are so many wonderfull and caring members here, that I have no desire to go anywhere else.

Thanks for the information, Krazy4birds.

When I tried to sign up for a year's membership, all I found was a link for PayPal. Unfortunatly, we were part of that class action suit that PayPal lost, and they still have hundreds of my dollars which they won't give back, so...

Is there a way to use credit cards?

Thanks :)
