Molting?

Ok...I've had tiels for about 3 years now...and every now and then, I will find some feathers on the floor or in the bottom of the cages...but I have yet to see any of the tiels I have had actually molt. Maybe I have the wrong idea about molting. Do they lose almost all their feathers..or do they just lose a little at a time? I've seen the color change in them..but like I said..I've not seen them lose "alot" of feathers at a given time. Can someone please help me out?

Most birds lose a few at a time, so I think you are ok there. Especially since you have seen color changes. Seems to me everything is fine so try not to stress out!

:) I have a sun conure. When he molts, he loses a few feathers and then starts to grow little white stick thingys all over. They hold his feathers until they pop open. Then the feathers grow back with more yellow.
