What are some signs that the female turtle is pregnant and there seems to be a "sack" coming out of the tail area:confused: and it's been acting really weird and aggressive. She's 17-18 years old, and wondering if she is pregnant where will it lay eggs???(Type of soil, temperature etc.)
Any help would be appreciated!!!

I really don't know that there are a lot of signs, I know that the turtle will dig little depressions in the ground so they need something good to dig in. As far as the sack coming out, I really hope its not a prolapse, but that was the first thing that came to mind. There shouldn't be a sack. For that I'd take her to the vet, if it is a prolapse that would explain the mood change cause she'd be in pain. If she is pregnant that could explain it too. If she lays eggs it will be in any kind of soil she can dig in, I really don't know for sure what temps, but probably around 80 or so degrees. What kind of enclosure does the turtle have?

Please tell us you took your turtle to the vet?

Yes, we took it to the vet, and she gave antibiotics.....and when the turtle came home, it seemed sleepy, and went to sleep, but sadly it died...not even the vet knows what happened....:( :(
