i have a 3 year old terrer and a 10 mo old B lab cross my terrer should only git fed 1 tine dayly right? and the lab should be fed 2 times right? when should the lab git only 1 meel like how old? she only eats 1 meel as it is i tryed to give her breckfast today and she didnt even sniff it and my terrer shees fineb but by the time dinner comes along she acts starved and does something i have never sceen her do she begged!!! i feel so bad i just started the feeding ruten yesterday so should daisy the terrier quit begging?

We feed our dogs twice a day (in the morning and in the evening). What we do is find out how much they are supposed to eat for the day, cut it in half and that is how much they get at each meal.

You just have to figure out which is easiest for you and which your dogs prefer. If you split the amount of food up into 2 meals the other dog might eat in the morning as well.

My dog has time to eat twice a day-once in the morning & once in the evening. Sometimes she doesn't it all, but thats her business. She'll eat if she is hungry.

Perhaps this 13-yr old is from another country and I have found that they have a hard time spelling words in our language for us to understand. I sometimes don't get word's spelled right and I'm sure you don't at times. I believe you are the one that ridiculed zig zag in another post for spelling and grammar. :(

I free feed at my house. There is always food in the bowl, and if my dog is hungry she eats. I have always done this, and have never had a problem with overweight dogs or food aggression. My schedule is very inconsistant, so this works well for me.

I used to free feed when we had our first 4..they had no overeating issues and it was SO convenient!! But our Katrina dog is a pig and will eat anything anytime so we had to start them all on a feeding schedule of 2x a day. It all depends on the dog.

I feed my adult dogs twice a day. My newfie pup gets three meals a day and I'll be changing that when he's about a year. I also keep them as quiet as I can after they eat as bloat is a concern in the larger dogs.

i tryed feeding twice but i like feeding 1 time more i dont relly have time in the morning my terrier finly got hungry today and ate and my lab eats the hole cup of food i feed her is that enuf fore the lab? its to mutch fore my terrier so i cut her food down today to qutre of a cup or 2 qurters she still didnt eat all of it. i am time feeding becouse daisy (big begle sized terrier) is fat and the vet sead that she should loos wate and i se no other way than this and exersize we dont feed her varry many treats and the lab (molly) she was gitting fat daisy is loosing wate now not to mutch but its just early

It wasn't an attack against you personally-just explaining why my response may not be exactly what you were asking. People on this board come from all walks of life & I understand that. the puppy you should probably feed 3 times a day.... that is usually normal and if she is acting really hungry then you should definitely go to 3 daily feedings. After a year old when you switch her to adult food you can change it to 2 feedings a day.

no nowon heart my felings i am usto it i tryed downlodeing the spell check thing but it doesnt do anaything maby becouse i dont have internet explorer

three times daly!!!!i will try it i allredy feed her adalt dog food she is around 5 mounths my ant sead her vet sead that feeding her adalt food was fine how moutch should i feed molly eatch feeding? she eats eneything i give her i gave her 2 cups today and she ate it all relly fast withen 15 minits and was still hungry she is gitting fat i dont know wether or not to just leev the food doun all the time and just exersize with them more o no i wount do that i know what i can do after i give her dinner i could tack her out and train her (with treats) that should satisfy her hunger but will it make her fat? im relly cluless i am doing what i think is good i need ancers i think daisy will eat if i lock molly up im the bathroom (becouse molly jumps on her and trys to play and daisy takes a mouth full and brings it to the liveing room and puts it on the flore and eats it and molly eats it when she drops it) i think i will try locking daisy in the bathroom at feeding time see if she eats then what do i do if she doesnt? i allredy brack 2 treats up and mix it in with ther food it gits them to eat the first feeding i didnt and thay wouldnt eat so thats what i do do yous have anay othre tricks i could try to git daisy to eat i hate starving her but feeding molly it just doesnt seem fair to me i put her food down first but molly gits what daisy doesnt eat so i dont wast eney i realize that wild dogs sometimes dont git 1 meel a day and pet dogs have that wild side in them but the fat is melting off her atleast she is not gitting dangressly scinny
