My Buddies

These are a few of my buddies. They are my favorite fish. Gouramis and Sailfin Mollies. I have more..but there in my other tank. You'll see other fish in the pictures..Gold gouramis, pink gouramis..a couple I can't remember what they are called..so I call them tiger gouramis because of the stripes...I have 3 spot gouramis. I have plecos...both chocolate and "regular" ..I guess that how I would describe him...Oh yes...can't forget the loaches..my good ole buddies..the clown loaches..they are so hilarious at times...but I couldn't seem to get them to come out tonite to get their picture..I'll post more later.

and can you point out your "tigers" if its the one in the picture, it looks like a gold to me...and i always thought the kissers were fun to look at..I just never had the patience to set up a 55 gallon for them..what sized tank do you have? it must be pretty big to have CLs

I have my sailfin mollies, pink, moonlight, tiger, paradise and gold gouramis in my 60 gallon tank. I have both undergravel filter and biowheel..works fantastic for me. My plecos and loaches and dwarf gouramis are in my upstairs 30 gallon tank. I've started to take a shine toward cichlids..so I'm gonna get another 60 gallon and try my hand at them for a while.
To answer your question about the tiger...look at the bottom left picture, between the gold gourami and the moonlight...just following them...he looks grey with blue stripes. Thats the one I call a tiger gourami..I know thats not what he's really called.
Anyway...I'll get some pics of my loaches and other fish tomorrow..I'm tired now..going to bed..Nite all..:)

common plecos and clown loaches need a larger tank, while the clown loaches have a slow growth rate, still 13 inches of fish need at least 100 gallons for them to grow, common plecos usually reach about 24 inches so in a 100 gallon they will be fine with the clown loach.

as far as blue gouramies go, they come in:
3 spot,
crosby or olpiane
golden.

the "tiger" is a crosby form.
