We have them wild down here. They are blue tailed skinks I believe. Almost positive they are endangered. They move like a snake almost because their limbs are so small and bodies are tubular. I had a 5 lined skink get in the bedroom yesterday and boy was he curious about us humans. I didn't catch him because they are so good about eating bugs and spiders. They do carry three known parasites. One is an atypical roundworm. Not sure about the other two. I don't know about where to get them-sorry. I just thought it funny that I had a run in with one so recently. We have all kinds of lizards, chameleons, skinks, and gekkos in Florida. They are a blessing, fun to observe, and I think a skink would be a great pet.

Not sure sweetie. I don't think that all of them have parasites all of the time but they can carry them. Probably more so in the wild. If you get one from a breeder or pet shop I am sure you don't have to worry about it.

Hey darlin'. I am sorry. It is a blue toungued skink from Australia and surrounding areas. They do not carry the parasites like I said. Only the blue TAILED skinks of Florida and such do. So sorry, wrong info. I did google them and yes I was right at least about them making a good pet.
