Thx guys.. they're pretty awesome.
The dive bomber is Sam the U2 (Umbrella Cockatoo) and is the larger one on the left in the first pic... and the one on the side of his cage in the other two pics. He's not going to be a happy camper tomorrow... taking him to the vet in the morning. Hubby is holding him :D. I'll let you know how it goes... pray we return with all our fingers and toes hehe.

Hi Jan,
Good Luck today. Are you taking Sam to the vet by yourself? I hope the vet can help you out with Sam.

Jan,
Both toos are beautiful ........ but the goffin looks great. Makes my Angel look beddragled. (if there is such a word LOL) She is completely naked from under neck on down and legs are picked clean - under wings she is also somewhat bare but not as bad as the front. However, she is starting to pick up phrases like mad and every day I seem to be hearing a new word or phrase. She grinds that beak at night before going to sleep. So, by all indications I know to go by she would seem to be happy. Angel seems to need to have a strict routine with no changing. There are times that routine falls by the wayside in our house. I just do my best and love her unconditionally.

Thanks guys ;)

Diane~ we were told that parrots grind their beaks at night when they are ready to bed down and go to sleep. All of ours grind just before bedtime. Its good to hear Angels saying new words and is happy.. now if you could just get that plucking under control!!!!.
Wishing you the best.

Thanks Jan. I'm doing my best! Now Angel just has to cooperate some. I was reading on the birdmart site that diluted chamomile tea given to them for 2/3 days for drinking water and then every few days is a natural way to calm them. Also, plan on going to health food store and getting aloe vera juice and diluting 1part/to 4 parts water and using it as an anti-itching spray.

P.S. -- I had heard somewhere that the grinding of beaks was a sign of happiness. (Don't know if true - but of course I'm going to believe it! LOL)

Jan, again your pictures are beautiful. Both yours and Dianes G2's look better than mine. I don't know how to post it but I do have a picture of the poor thing...minus his tail! Diane, I've heard that with the tea and the juice but never tried it. Let me know how it works.
