Droogs

My seven month old border collie has just been neutered and whilst this was happening they took a section off a small lump he had on his head. (Ever since we got him he has had about five small lumps on his head which range from a few millimetres to one that is half an inch on the top of his head)
The lab has said they are follicular cysts which are caused by ingrowing hairs - apparently this is more common around the genital area. My vet has never seen them on the head before and has suggested we just monitor them and see if any of them cause him any stress etc moving forward.
I was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this on their dog? The largest one has started bleeding lately so any help would be gratefully received from Badger and I :)
Thanks
