View Full Version : What kind of dog is Emma?

Hi, everybody. I was just wodering if anybody would care to take a shot at figuring out my dog's (Emma) heritage. She was a foundling so nobody that knows her now knows what kind of dog she is. Our Vet told us Terrier and Shelty. This picture is not the best but it shows her tail and her long legs.

First thing that came to my mind is Beagle, but she is a Heinz 57 for sure. :)

The long legs and face hint at a Jack Russell or a Beagle. The tail set and bushy-ness, knot on the top of the head and larger ears might be a bit of a smallish Yellow Lab. I would think that if there is Shelty in there that its longer hair might show a bit more.
I love trying to guess at what mixes are but sometimes the combinations are so infinite that its nearly impossible.:p

You naturlly go with lab looking at her - but she is very small - only 22 lbs!

wow she is adorable! I am going out on a limb since nobody else sees it and guessing some spaniel mix maybe??:confused: She is purebred cute though!

I see daschund I see no shelty at all, maybe beagle, but deff not beagalxlab *fostered one* I also see somehting of African heritage, the bushy tail, floppy ears, and the long leggs point to that I also dont see terrier....

Gosh she is a cutie...whatever she is! I am so bad at this but I do see maybe daschund. Her hind legs are large like a jack rabbit. Maybe she has a little bunny in her. Just kidding. Good luck.

she actually bears a lot of resemblence to a dog my mom once had - who was half rhodesian ridgeback (had that tail and general proportions) and half chow...
SO I'm gonna take a wild guess at ridgeback and spaniel? And maybe a bit of beagle thrown in for a little extra cuteness?

i dont know terer crosses tend to be legger with floppy ears but i have no clue what she might be but a terer cross with something els mixed in i dont know what???????
