i have a 55 gallon tank... i made a filter with a long tube that godes down under the rocks when u blow it air rises from the little holes.. i'll probably buy a pump. anyways for a lil less work on cleaning the tank can suckerfish live in the tank also? i have 6 small mosqiuto fish that are wanting a new home what can live with them and will survive in this tank? ( oh i got this water conditoner (tap water conditoner) which removes chlorine, detoxicates heavy metals, breaks the chloramine bond) once again what kind of fish can live on this? if i have to ill buy a filter, and a air pump. Thanks!!

Again i would suggest for a 55 gallon or any amount of gallons to get both a filter and an air pump.

now, i am confused alittle, are u asking what type of sucker fish will be able to live in there, or will help clean the tank.

For the record, there is no fish on planet earth that eats fish waste. Dont let people tell you that plecos will b/c they do not.

-a common pleco will reach over 24 inches.
-A CAE or chinese algae eatter is often avalible, But be warned that these fish will reach about 12 inches, and are VERY aggressive. Even at a young age they will latch on to other fish and kill them.
-Ottos- They are probably your best bet, they stay small and do a good job at eatting algae. The drawback is they can be picky on water quality.
