I have sucessfully bred my beta's once, but the babies never did grow past 1/2 inch long, even after a few months. Then I left on vacation and hubby didn't take care of them so when I got home they were ALL dead :( . Anyway has anone out there bred their Bettas and NOT had their female die a couple days later? I try to keep them seperate as much as possable up untill it's time to go, then seperate them and put her in water with antibiotics in it but 2 days later she always turns up dead. Makes me sad! I would love to see what the babies of my preasent female would turn out like, but dont' want to loose her because she is beautifal!

yea, I'm working on my second pair for my breeding season right now..

I'm not sure why your female died, but it could have been stress or infection from bites..

but if you have any questions at all, just message me:)

here are a few pics of the fry I kept from my last couple spawns..:
