i decided to get an anole. i need some advice from people who have reptiles and green anoles.
please dont tell me to do search engines, as i hate doing it b/c i never get the info i need.
I did some reading on websites, but they assume that i have had a land base reptile b4, which i dont have.

I am not an expert with anoles, but I have kept them and sold them in my previous pet store.
They are very low maintenance, but have a few basic requirements:
[1] UVB basking light
[2] Regular mistings (spray bottle works well) or terrarium humidifier.
[3] Regular feedings of crickets

not realy, although they are good at excaping when the cat lends a paw
I tried to keep them, but my dad got them for me and I had no idea how to care for them, My sister and I kept 2 in a 10 gallon with crickets fed when ever we could get them.. *my dad never liked going to get the food, so the first few ended up starving..after the 3rd batch, I told my dad to stop getting them, I returned the last ones after the cat got them..oops*
But they are rather interesting, not a holdable pet *they like to bite* but I recomend a larger terrarium, with a mister or a waterfall so that it splashes and collects on plants, because as we also found out, they wont drink from bowls I guess only off the moisture on plants and such :)

i dont mind getting live foods, i am at a petstore at least once a week anyway.
unfort it seems that i am not allowed to get a lizard:mad: but it gets me crazy that i did all of that research.
but anyway. i think i will stay with fishes.

Well, anoles are pretty harmless. Although they can be pretty fast if they get out, :P
