I used to have a ten gallon fish tank. I had two parrot fish,an angel fish, & an algea eater. I had the fish for about five and a half years. They were fine until one day my daughter over fed them & I didn't discover it until they were dead. Now I just have one red male betta fish who is doing great. I've only had him for about a month now. By the way I loved the pictures of your fish.:cool:

Very nice picture. How big is this Gar? What size tank do you have it in? it looks quite large.

he is about 7-9 inches and very peaceful.

he is in a 75 gallon round tank.

still trying to id him. he is either a spotted gar or florida gar.

2 days ago, i also got a new large mouth bass.

he is about 7-8 inches and a nice looking fish.

As you can guess i am trying to get into wild N.A fishes with the gar and bass. Will get pics soon.

keep in mind those fish are illegal to keep with out a permit..although..Lg mouths are fun to keep :cool: I got one at 2 inches, loved food lol

my bass are 100% legal, they are from my land, and their orignal bass my family bought over 40 years ago.

the gar, should be legal but not sure.

Why are bass illegal to have?

Because they are a game fish :) They have a season around here where its the only time they can be caught, its runs after they spawn, untill the lake freezes, because you wont catch any then anyway lol

yea, these laws are in place to insure that breeding can be dont so the poulation continues.

to make you feel better, i monitor my pond systems for amouth and quality of fish.

i did catch over 10 and saw about 30 bass and in the middle of the pond (15 feet) i am sure that the larger female bass live. i made sure to take a small bass, def to young for breeding. just to make you feel better:)
