Hi everyone!
It's been awhile since I've posted here.
So I'm giving you a short update.
Last time I was here, I owned three dogs and have talked about Samson.
Well, he died in Janauray of 2003. White Dog died Jun of 2006 due to old age I guess? He had mites digging holes into his skin and we decided to put him down.
Now we have Sequin, our beautiful Baffin Island husky female.
Sequin has the fluffest fur of our past dogs [if you don't include her brother, Kodaic.] and now it looks like mange, acroding to my mom. On her side, it started going bare, liked she rubbed the fur off. There was a small scab there, but we thought nothing of it becuase it happened the year before and I took care of her. So again, I cleaned it and put on some cream for it [in which she rolled and licked it off, like any other dog]. The scab healed wonders later on.
But now, it's getting worse. Her fur is falling off, in clumps, still matted into her non-falling off fur. So that bare spot is now alot bigger. And yesterday, I found out her right hind leg has it too!
Currently, I'm cutting away the matted-falling-off fur so it doen's get tangled in her chain. My mom suggested we might have to see our vet [who's in Dryden as we are in Kenora] because it would be mange.
Any ideas? Thank you!
