i really need some help in this one i don't no eny thing about birds.
my cats cought a bird but i saw it and grabed it before the cat could kill it but i thing it has a broken wing i raelly feel bad for the pigeon wat should i do i dont now enything about birds

If you can handle this pidgeon then wash it off with some lukewarm water as cat siliva is toxic to birds. It sounds as if the bird can not fly due to the wing injury. If this is correct then look in your phone book for a wildlife rehabilitator and see if they can take the pidgeon. Another thing is call vets in the area and see if they know of a wildlife rehab center. If the bird is injured and can't fly you can't set it free because then it will just fall prey to another animal. Good Luck and be sure and update us.

thanks it has an injury to its back and neck i am waiting till my grandfather gets home from work which will be less then an hour so we could see wat to do . i need to get it out of this house becouse if not this bird has no chance

good news after wiping her of with water she seems to be feeling better she is even flying a bit but she still has some bloody injurys we are going to nurse it back to health and hope for the best. i named it lucky becouse it was a miracle that we found her/him. i will keep you updated

the pigeon (lucky) has been doing ok it is still alive and is getting its strengh back up we are going to keep it for a couple of weeks till it gets better. we thnk that its going tomake it. but i was thinking what if lucky is a girl and has a nest with babies somewere or is pregnent.i read that from may -augest they have eggs.i guess there is no way of knowing. i hope its a boy

great news lucky survived the night and is doing good,she has more energy today, yesterday she could careless if we held her but today she is not to happy about it and tries to fly away,we are thinking of letting her go far away from the house when she gets better. i will keep you updated
